About

Responsibilities Lead a team of engineers that design, develop, and verify software applications for medical devices (primarily desktop applications with minor support for mobile and web). Develop software application updates for existing medical products. Manage day-to-day technical activities including software project sprint backlog, assignment management, and tracking team deliverables. Analyze and investigate complex, undefined problems requiring detailed information gathering and analysis. Partner with cross‑functional R&D organization members (quality, regulatory, and marketing). Communicate with stakeholders regarding ongoing operations. Drive best software development practices and build sustainable processes within the functional area. Lead, coach, and review the work of your engineering team. Manage program scope, cost, and schedule within a cross‑functional development team. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of customer‑facing software product development experience with a proven track record of delivering projects. 5+ years of experience managing software development teams with proven ability to lead and motivate. Experience developing software products in C++, C#, JavaScript, Dart, Python, or similar languages. Strong understanding of desktop software application development, verification, and relevant SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFE). Proven ability to manage projects within a matrix reporting structure, demonstrating strong organizational and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to blend people management and technical expertise, with a passion for both leading teams and solving complex technical challenges. Experience mentoring and coaching software engineers and testers, fostering professional growth. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams. Nice to Have Software development management experience in the medical field or a similarly regulated industry. Experience with industry standards such as IEC62304 (Software Development), ISO14971 (Risk Management).
