About
Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized instruments and observational evaluations. Create tailored treatment strategies that meet both immediate and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on various areas including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Engage with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, clients, and families to construct integrated care plans. Provide educational support to patients and families to bolster progression outside the clinic. Assist with rare inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure consistent care along the treatment path. Ensure documentation is thorough, on time, and in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Keep abreast of new developments in speech-language pathology through ongoing learning and collaborations with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of start date. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for individuals of all ages, with deep knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills that enable effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to modify therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Sound clinical judgment paired with strong problem-solving skills.
