Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, creating tailored treatment strategies Implement physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function Work alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to achieve optimal recovery outcomes Guide patients and their families in understanding therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and suggested home exercises Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in line with facility standards and regulatory requirements Engage in interdisciplinary care team meetings and discussions to ensure cohesive patient care Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist CPR certification is preferred Any specialized certifications (e.g., neurological or geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory Skills
Prior experience in a similar role is highly desired Ability to effectively treat patients presenting with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential Proficiency in using electronic health records and clinical documentation tools is expected Benefits
