Physical Therapy Assistant Sentara Therapy Center Burke is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Burke, Virginia. This is a full-time day shift opportunity in an outpatient therapy setting. This position is in anticipation of a new clinic opening scheduled for July 2026. Prior to the clinic's opening, the selected candidate will support existing locations across Northern Virginia—including Century, Reid, Dumfries, and Stafford—by providing coverage as needed and assisting with operational and clinical needs. As patient volumes grow at the new site, the individual will gradually transition into a full-time role at that location. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will:
Administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under supervision of a physical therapist. May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
Education:
Associate Level Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)
Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
