Job Description The Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ED) provides family-centered care to patients under the age of 19, addressing urgent and emergent health issues in a Level 1 pediatric trauma and burn center. Our unit is equipped with 18 general care beds, 1 critical care bed, 4 urgent care beds, and a shared 7-bed trauma bay with the adult ED. Our staff is trained to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment, managing a broad spectrum of cases from treat-and-release to acute critical care and trauma. ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the emergency department. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Perform assessments, interventions, and evaluations for pediatric patients. Maintain clear communication with patients and their families regarding care plans. Handle trauma situations and critical care needs as they arise. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureNew York RN License (Required) 2 years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience (Required) BLS certification from the American Heart Association (Required) PALS certification from the American Heart Association (Required) ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (Required) Burn care experience (Highly desirable) TNCC, ATCN, or ABLS certification (Preferred) Why ARMStaffing?
