Conduct thorough evaluations for a spectrum of patients spanning pediatrics to geriatrics employing both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Create individualized treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized speech therapy focusing on aspects such as communication skills, speech fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to ensure cohesive care plans. Facilitate education for patients and families to support their growth and progress beyond clinical visits. Provide speech therapy evaluations and interventions within an inpatient setting, ensuring continuity and quality of care. Maintain precise documentation matching state, federal, and institutional guidelines, reflecting adherence to best practices. Engage in continuous professional growth through education and collaboration with peers. Education
Possession of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications
Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Aspirations of achieving the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is favorable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
