Perform thorough patient evaluations, including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive medical history assessments Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through the interpretation of diagnostic imaging and laboratory results Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical care plans Provide essential intraoperative support encompassing room preparation, patient positioning, and instrument management during procedures Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including administration of medications, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education Qualifications
Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program Completion of clinical rotations with a strong emphasis on surgery is highly desirable Certifications
Current and unrestricted PA-C certification Certificates in BLS and ACLS are necessary State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant Skills
In-depth knowledge of surgical principles along with a solid understanding of sterile techniques A proven capability to interpret diagnostic tests and engage in clinical decision-making Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain composed and efficient in fast-paced, high-pressure surgical settings A compassionate approach towards patients, showing deep respect for their dignity and autonomy Benefits
