Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric, adult, and elderly clients utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods. Create customized treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that enhance language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions. Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, family members, and other caregivers to devise integrated care plans. Empower patients and their families with knowledge essential for achieving progress beyond the therapy sessions. Undertake occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring your patients' care is seamless and thorough throughout their therapeutic journey. Keep a meticulous record of patient progress and documentation, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with fellow clinicians. Qualifications
Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Licensure and Certifications
Possession of a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting the position. Key Skills
