About
Supervise sterile processing technicians and coordinate shift assignments Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments Ensure compliance with ANSI/AAMI standards, IFUs, and internal procedures Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain accurate documentation Train, mentor, and support staff development and competency validation Manage equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with technical teams Collaborate with leadership on scheduling, timekeeping, and operational goals Work cross-functionally to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments Promote safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance Address service concerns and maintain strong communication with stakeholders Assist with inventory management and supply ordering Support continuous improvement initiatives and KPI monitoring Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare or manufacturing Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Knowledge of sterilization standards, OSHA regulations, and infection control practices Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced setting Familiarity with surgical instruments and medical device reprocessing Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and timekeeping systems Required Certifications (one of the following):
CBSPD - Certified Sterile Processing Management (CSPM) HSPA - Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) CBSPD - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) CBSPD - Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS) Preferred Qualifications:
College degree or 3+ years of leadership experience Certification in Sterile Processing (CIS) Healthcare leadership certification (HSPA-CHL)
