Project Manager Bulk Handling Systems (Cork) Talent Curve Recruitment is managing a search for a Project Manager specialising in bulk handling systems. Join a leading engineering contractor in Cork delivering bespoke materials handling, powder processing, and conveyor systems to the food, pharmaceutical, and agricultural sectors. This permanent role is ideal for a proactive engineer or project manager ready to take full operational and technical ownership of high-value installation projects across Munster. Core Responsibilities Project Delivery: Lead mechanical projects from initial design handover and fabrication through to on-site installation and commissioning. Commercial Control: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and collaborate with the commercial team to oversee P&L performance. Planning & Scheduling: Develop and monitor detailed project programmes, ensuring materials, plant, and labor are coordinated to meet strict timelines. Technical Oversight: Review mechanical layouts, structural steel drawings, and equipment specifications (conveyors, feeders, silos) to ensure alignment with site requirements. Site Management: Oversee on-site installation crews and sub-contractors, acting as the primary point of contact for client site representatives. H&S and Quality: Champion strict on-site safety standards, preparing RAMS, conducting toolboxes, and ensuring compliance with CDM/HSA guidelines. Candidate Profile Education: Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a senior trade background with proven project management progression). Experience: 3+ years of experience in project engineering or project management, with a strong focus on bulk handling, conveyor systems, structural steel, or heavy machinery. Technical Skills: Strong ability to interpret mechanical and structural fabrication drawings. Familiarity with CAD/SolidWorks is an advantage. Attributes: A decisive problem-solver with excellent communication, negotiation, and scheduling skills. Logistics: Full, clean Irish driving licence. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: €60,000 €70,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience). Package: Company vehicle or car allowance, fuel card, and contributory pension scheme. Location: Cork (Office-based with regular travel to client sites across the Munster region).
