About
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will be an integral part of the Formica Marketing Team reporting to the Marketing Automation Manager. This role supports day-to-day execution across social media management, email marketing, and copywriting. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with Creative Services, Product/Segment Marketing, Sales Operations, and agency partners to help deliver consistent messaging and timely campaigns across Formica’s North American brands and digital channels.
The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and eager to grow in digital marketing fundamentals. You enjoy writing, have an eye for detail, take initiative to solve problems and are comfortable learning new tools and processes. This role offers hands‑on experience supporting integrated campaigns while building skills in content creation, audience engagement, and performance reporting.
Job Description
Support social media management across assigned channels by scheduling posts, publishing content, monitoring comments/inbox messages, and escalating customer inquiries to the appropriate teams.
Draft and adapt copy for social posts, emails, landing pages, and basic web updates, ensuring brand voice, accuracy, and proofreading standards.
Build and deploy email campaigns (newsletters, product updates, promotions) in partnership with the Digital Marketing Team, including basic audience segmentation, QA/testing, and link tracking.
Manage campaign and content calendars; coordinate approvals, deadlines, and asset handoffs with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Assist with reporting by pulling performance metrics for social, SEM and email (e.g., engagement, reach, clicks, open/click rates) and compiling summaries and learnings.
Support community management and basic social listening by monitoring trends and competitor activity and sharing observations/recommendations with the broader Marketing team.
Partner with Creative Services to request and route creative assets; help write or refine creative briefs and ensure final deliverables align with channel requirements.
Support additional marketing projects as assigned, including content updates, campaign coordination, trade show digital support, and administrative tasks related to digital execution.
Desired Skills & Experience
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
0–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content creation (strong internship/co‑op experience welcome).
Hands‑on experience managing or supporting social media channels, SEM campaigns and building email campaigns (professional, academic, or personal/portfolio work).
Familiarity with social publishing tools and/or email platforms (e.g., scheduling tools, email marketing tools) and comfort learning new systems.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to tailor tone and messaging for different audiences and channels.
Basic familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and digital asset workflows is a plus.
Comfort collaborating with cross‑functional partners and external vendors/agencies; able to incorporate feedback and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and follow established processes.
Positive, collaborative communication style and the ability to work effectively within a marketing team and across multiple project teams.
Detail‑oriented and proactive; able to take direction, ask good questions, and continuously improve performance and deliverables with feedback.
Occasional domestic travel, up to 10%, may be required.
