May include: Orders from purchasing weekly for medical supplies, lab supplies and office supplies. • Special invoices for supplies not available in storeroom. • Placing orders with Pharmacy. • Stock exam room with supplies and fill hand cleaner bottles. Demonstrates competency in Infection Prevention and Control Practices and Policies Possesses an understanding of infection prevention and control measures designed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. o Maintains the standards of the infection prevention and control policies. o Implements and maintains isolation techniques per policy. o Follows hand hygiene policies and utilizes personal protective equipment as required. * MyMichigan Health is a technology driven organization and employees need to demonstrate competency in Microsoft Windows. An employee may be required to participate in further learning opportunities offered by MyMichigan Health. * Will be responsible to work on-call, as scheduled. * All other duties as assigned. Certifications and Licensures Credential: TEAM ADVANCED: Techniques for Effective Aggression Mgt Equivalent Experience: Within 3 months of hire or transfer (Employees who are in this position on or before 12/31/2023 will have 24 months to complete this certification) Credential: BLS: Basic Life Support Equivalent Experience: Required within 1 month of hire or transfer Qualification Source: AHA Credential: PCT: MMH PCT/CNA/EMT/LPN Certification Equivalent Experience: Must hold an internal MyMichigan Health Patient Care Technician certification or a current State of Michigan registry document as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification culminating in licensure in the state of Michigan or completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program culminating in licensure in the State of Michigan or successful completion of one semester of nursing clinical education by an Accredited Registered Nurse Program. *For current PCTs with an expired CNA certification, EMT certification, or a lapsed LPN license, an opportunity to achieve an internal MyMichigan Health Patient Care Technician certification will be offered* Credential: FINGERPRIN: Fingerprinting Equivalent Experience:

Other Information EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS: Current Emergency Medical Technician licensed with the State of Michigan, Registered Nurses Aide Certification, proof of status as a student in a school of nursing, or completion of a nurses aide state approved training course. For those employees who have two or more years of current nurse aide experience, the above registered nurse's aide requirement may be waived. Organizational skills needed to prioritize workload. Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner. This position must show knowledge, ability, and competence in treating patients who range in age from pre-natal to 100+ years.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as trauma, grief and death. Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position. Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description. Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s). Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching. Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required. Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake. Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis. Physical Demand Level: Very Heavy. Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry over 100 lbs., frequently (34-66% of the workday) over 50 lbs. and or Walk/Stand/Push/Pull of Arm/Leg controls and constantly (67-100% of the workday) over 20 lbs.
