About
Perform duties to support the strategic development and implementation of EHS management systems throughout the agency, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards Assist the EHS MS Data Analyst and Director EHS Performance Measurement & Strategic Planning in all agency EHS MS development activities. Assist with technical review and interpretation of EHS incident and compliance data for decision making including incident reporting and investigation data, workplace violence, notices of violation, data support for executive leadership, monthly metrics, Fleet safety data reconciliation and tracking, and the utilization of EHS databases. Assist with maintenance and management of multiple EHS datasets and files and conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control Activities (QA/QC). Assist with data reconciliation, develop QA/QC reports and document solutions. Assist with development of agencywide EHS policies and procedures, EHS benchmarking studies and assist with EHS Management System training, and agency/bureau level presentations to various staff levels. Assist with development of EHS performance metrics from EHS compliance information systems and other relevant agency programs and/or systems commonly used by OEHS. Prepare technical reports and executive summaries, memoranda and training presentations on EHS topics, including management system requirements. Maintain strong technical proficiency with use of technological devices, including laptops, tablets and software. Participate in special projects that arise out of the mandate of the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS).

Qualifications: Qualifications 1. For Assignment Level I (only physical, biological and environmental sciences and public health) A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health. To be appointed to Assignment Level II and above, candidates must have: 1. A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization; or 2. A master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least a master's degree in an appropriate field of specialization and at least two years of experience described in "2" above. Two years as a City Research Scientist Level I can be substituted for the experience required in "1" and "2" above. NOTE: Probationary Period Appointments to this position are subject to a minimum probationary period of one year. Compensation: $74,536-$74,536 per year
