Carry out MD orders for medications and check physician orders for accuracy Monitor changes in residents' conditions and report to the nursing supervisor and MD as appropriate Assist with residents' care needs, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure residents function at their optimal level of independence Direct nursing assistant staff and promote quality care in accordance with residents' individual care plan
Qualifications:
Current licensure by the State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is required Experience in long-term care settings (skilled nursing or assisted living) preferred Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills
