Your Impact As a Physical Therapy Assistant at MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy, you will:
Support children in reaching developmental milestones and improving mobility through hands-on therapy sessions. Collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs. Facilitate therapeutic exercises and play-based activities that enhance coordination, balance, and overall physical function. Promote family involvement by educating caregivers on at-home therapeutic techniques and progress strategies. Track and communicate patient progress, contributing to the refinement of treatment plans and goals. Adapt equipment and toys to maximize child engagement and independence during therapy. Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized therapy space to support effective treatment sessions.
Qualifications
Completion of a two-year Physical Therapy Assistant associate degree program Physical Therapy Assistant licensure from the state of Michigan
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Active & Engaged Work – Kneeling, bending and playing at ground level. Hands-On Support – Lifting up to 50+ lbs may be required. Quick Reflexes – Ability to respond to behaviors such as elopement (running away) or aggressive actions. Loud or Noisy Environments – Working with active children in dynamic settings. Potential Exposure to Bodily Fluids – Assisting with hygiene or accidental incidents.

Work Schedule
Typical hours are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm with a one-hour lunch break.
Compensation
After applying, a member of our recruiting team will call to review the pay range and opportunities for additional compensation through productivity bonuses. Compensation varies based on each clinician’s unique skills and experience.
