Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Navigator RN, you will provide expert nursing guidance and support to patients as they navigate complex healthcare journeys. Every day you will assess patient needs, educate on treatment options, coordinate care across multiple providers, and facilitate access to resources, acting as a central point of contact. Empower and support oncology patients as our Medical Oncology Nurse Navigator! In this rewarding role, you'll apply the nursing process to provide comprehensive guidance and coordinate complex diagnostic and treatment efforts. You'll leverage your clinical assessment and symptom management expertise to foster comfort and confidence throughout the challenging cancer care continuum, removing barriers and ensuring timely access to care. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to ensure seamless and informed care.
Provides coordination of care and support for patients, families and caregivers throughout the continuum of care.
Provides education for patient, caregiver and family on disease process, plan of care, treatment, symptom management and survivorship.
Effectively communicates with patient, caregiver, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Provides nursing assessment through a process of gathering pertinent patient's medical history and review of presenting symptoms.
Demonstrates professionalism in the workplace with patients, families, healthcare team and community.
Provide excellent customer service resulting in patient satisfaction with care.
Job Requirements Required
Bachelors of Science Nursing
Three (3) years of experience as an RN in an inpatient or outpatient setting
Registered Nurse: AZ
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
Oncology experience strongly preferred
