This opportunity is exclusively for students currently enrolled in the Respiratory Therapy program at Wake Technical Community College (Wake Tech) . Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited program to be considered. About the Role
As a Respiratory Care Apprentice , you'll play a vital role behind the scenes-supporting our Respiratory Care team by ensuring equipment is patient-ready, workspaces are efficient, and supplies are readily available. This is a hands-on opportunity to build your clinical foundation while working alongside an experienced, mission-driven team. What You'll Do
Inventory & Supplies Management (40%)
Maintain inventory of respiratory equipment and supplies
Place orders, verify shipments, and manage receipts
Accurately document inventory and support supply availability
Equipment Set-Up (30%)
Prepare and set up respiratory equipment to ensure readiness
Confirm basic functionality to support safe patient care
Equipment Maintenance (30%)
Monitor and evaluate equipment performance
Assist with tracking required inspections
Communicate equipment issues in alignment with policy
Support Clinical Engineering with preventive maintenance
