Job Description Job Summary: A Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports physical therapists in delivering patient-centered rehabilitative care. The role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe, compassionate environment for recovery. Responsibilities:
Follow the protocols and treatment plans outlined by the supervising physical therapist. Administer a variety of manual techniques, modalities, and equipment to assist in patient rehabilitation. Modify treatments responsively based on patient progress while keeping the physical therapist informed. Document patient progress accurately and consistently according to facility standards. Maintain current competency in all aspects of patient care and seek ongoing educational opportunities. Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment procedures and post-treatment care. Qualifications:
Hold an active Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant license. Possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant PTA experience. Demonstrate current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Provide two supervisory reference forms with verified employment dates. Show proficiency with Cerner EMR or similar documentation systems. Exhibit strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Benefits & Growth:
