Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program with dedicated mammography training preferred Current registration with ARRT (R)(M) or equivalent required Current BLS certification Initial training in digital mammography and tomosynthesis required Meets current MQSA requirements including 15 breast CEUs within the last 36 months and 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months preferred Ability to perform mammography studies including routine screening and specialized diagnostic views preferred Recent x-ray experience preferred
Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform imaging examinations on all patient ages, ensuring quality patient care and efficient department operations. Assess patient conditions, verify informed consent, and ensure proper use of restraints and safety measures during procedures. Position patients to best demonstrate anatomical areas of interest and select appropriate imaging protocols. Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure compliance with departmental standards. Maintain archival storage of data and perform basic life support actions when necessary. Assist in training new employees and participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
