Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipment Ensures the instruments and equipment are available Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, and ready for immediate use in order to support patient care. What We're Looking For
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Sterile processing tech certification, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.
