Travel to these centers will be required.**JOB SUMMARY The RN Clinical Trainer provides training, education, and workflow guidance to support high-quality, efficient, and compliant patient care. This role is responsible for onboarding new staff, optimizing clinical workflows, and improving use of Epic (OCHIN). Working closely with clinical leadership and staff in a fast-paced, team-based healthcare environment, the RN Clinical Trainer promotes care quality, regulatory compliance, staff competency, and workflow efficiency. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSServes as a subject matter expert on Epic (OCHIN), developing and delivering onboarding, ongoing, and hands-on training for clinical staff on workflows including registration, rooming, documentation, billing, care gap identification, and regulatory requirements (HRSA, UDS, and organizational standards).
Provides "at-the-elbow" support to reinforce workflow adoption, improve staff proficiency, and promote adherence to clinical and operational best practices.
Assists with the setup of new centers, including implementation of operational policies, standardized workflows, training materials, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across clinical sites.
Monitors clinical workflows and collaborates with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, workflow optimization, standardization, and improved patient outcomes.
Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and technical teams to troubleshoot issues, support testing and implementation of EHR updates and enhancements, and improve system functionality.
Provides education and guidance on medical and dental integration practices to support coordinated, comprehensive care delivery.
Supports quality improvement initiatives through development of performance standards, evaluation tools, training materials, and promotion of best practices.
Maintains training documentation, competency records, and performance metrics to support compliance, staff development, and operational effectiveness.
Provides feedback to clinical leadership regarding staff performance, workflow challenges, and training needs.
Travels regularly between centers and attends trainings and seminars to support operational consistency and maintain ongoing competency in clinical and system updates. Maintains strict adherence to scheduled work hours with regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAssociate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience required, preferably in primary care, community health, or an FQHC setting.
Demonstrated experience using Epic (OCHIN) to support clinical workflows, staff training, and workflow optimization.
Demonstrated knowledge of care coordination, clinical operations, and quality improvement practices.
Preferred experience working in an FQHC or similar healthcare setting, including familiarity with HRSA, UDS, and organizational quality measures. CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSESCurrent Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire, or within three-months of employment. Valid Wisconsin Driver's License required with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR), per FHC guidelines.
