Schedule This position requires a Day 3x12-Hour schedule from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, with weekend shifts as needed. Job Description The Postpartum Registered Nurse will provide expert care for postpartum patients, emphasizing maternal and newborn couplet care. The nurse will be responsible for various assessments, medication administration, and managing complex feeding situations, as well as performing necessary procedures such as phototherapy and IV infusions. ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive assessments of newborns, ensure vital signs are within normal limits. Administer medications and perform complex feeds. Oversee phototherapy treatments and magnesium, insulin, PCA/PCEA, and heparin infusions. Provide education to parents on newborn care, including breastfeeding support and discharge teaching. Monitor and maintain central lines, perform glucose screenings, and assist with circumcision care. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMust possess at least 2 years of relevant experience as a Postpartum RN. Valid RN license in the state of Washington.
