Indiana University Health US News & World Honor Roll Report Indiana University Health National Rankings Facts & Figures IU Health Medical Group East Region-Cardiovascular Surgery is seeking a board-certified experienced cardiothoracic surgeon to join our highly collaborative team at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. This is an exceptional opportunity for a surgeon looking to step into a high-impact role with strong mentorship and collaborative environment. Position Highlights Full-time (1.0 FTE); Weekdays plus call On-call: 1:3 rotation, week-long call blocks Clinical focus: Inpatient, OR, outpatient clinic Patient volume: Clinic and Hospital: 10-20 patients/week (may vary) Practice & Team This is an established cardiovascular surgery group with: 3 cardiothoracic surgeons
3 experienced advanced practice providers; also support weekend rounding and call Dedicated support staff
Collegial, team-oriented environment with strong physician leadership Close collaboration with cardiology, anesthesiology, and critical care Teaching opportunities with residents, full research department; academic affiliation potential with IU School of Medicine No local competition

Clinical Scope This position offers a broad and complex case mix with steady procedural demand, including: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) Valve repair and replacement Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) Robotic thoracic surgery Lung resections (including wedge resections)
Candidate Qualifications Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Completion of Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship
