In This Role You Will: Responsible for admission, transfer, and discharge of residents to and from Hoosier Village. Responsible for administering medications and treatment, and maintaining proper charting for the unit, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures. Ensures that medications are administered timely, and treatments performed according to physicians’ written or verbal order. Notes adverse reactions and takes appropriate measures. Inventories medication supplies and orders medications by telephone from the pharmacy as needed and is alert to possible pharmacy errors by reading labels. Makes routine rounds of assigned residents and modifies standard nursing procedures for care in specific areas. Observes and report symptoms/conditions of residents to the treating physician, director of nursing, and family in a timely manner. Responsible for assisting in maintaining the Hoosier Village and BHI's facility and nursing care philosophies, through quality nursing. Responsible for maintaining a high standard of resident care. Responsible for all mandated Hoosier Village, Federal and State annual hours of in-service education. Promote and respect the dignity and well-being of each resident and their family and staff. Shift Details: Full Time Night Shift 7pm- 7am Who You Are: Individual with a diploma from and accredited school of nursing Maintains an active license in good standing as defined by the relative State Department of Registration and Education.
