About
Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Current Nebraska Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN/APNP) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Ability to participate in on-call coverage and respond within 30 minutes when scheduled. Preferred
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification. Previous clinical experience in a rural healthcare setting. Experience in family practice, primary care, emergency medicine, or acute care settings. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Successful candidates will demonstrate:

Perform comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and health assessments. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions. Order, perform, and interpret laboratory, radiographic, and diagnostic testing. Develop, prescribe, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members. Perform approved diagnostic and stabilization procedures. Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as needed. Respond to medical emergencies and provide CPR when necessary. Triage patient calls and provide appropriate clinical guidance. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Communicate changes in patient conditions promptly and appropriately. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient care coordination. Quality Improvement
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and outcome evaluations. Monitor effectiveness of treatment plans and resource utilization. Support delivery of cost-effective, evidence-based healthcare services. Contribute to initiatives that improve patient outcomes and patient satisfaction. Documentation
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Prepare progress notes, procedure notes, histories and physicals, and discharge summaries in accordance with organizational policies. Complete end-of-shift responsibilities and documentation requirements. Professional Development
Maintain clinical competencies and licensure requirements. Participate in continuing education opportunities, professional organizations, conferences, and specialty training. Stay current with reimbursement practices and regulatory requirements affecting advanced practice providers. Safety and Compliance
Follow all patient safety, infection prevention, medication administration, and regulatory guidelines. Adhere to HIPAA and organizational privacy policies. Utilize proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques. Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare standards and protocols. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position requires:
Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday. Frequent patient interaction and communication. Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and other healthcare-related environmental risks. Regular attendance and availability for overtime when necessary.
