Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to): Prepare patients for blood draws, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process Responsible for correct blood collection, drawing blood from patients using venipuncture, capillary puncture, or other techniques, ensuring proper identification and labeling of specimens Organize, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing, ensuring all specimens are properly processed and stored Adhere to quality control and safety protocols to maintain the integrity of specimens and ensure accurate test results Maintain and calibrate phlebotomy equipment and supplies, ensure everything is in working order, and properly sanitize Perform more complex or specialized phlebotomy procedures as required, often with minimal supervision
Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: High School Diploma or equivalent BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintain current certification
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: Minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience
