About
The opportunity The Sales Coordinator (SC) works directly with Stop‑Loss Specialists (SLSs), Account Managers (AM) and Senior Account Managers (Sr. AM) to coordinate the completion of prospect and sold case activities. The SC ensures the efficient flow of information by communicating effectively with internal and external partners including SLSs, AMs, Sr. AMs, third‑party administrators (TPAs), brokers, and clients. The role supports Account Managers in primary day‑to‑day needs for internal and external clients and contributes to client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain effective working relationships with SLSs, AMs, Sr. AMs, underwriters, premium specialists, and external partners.
Provide proactive account management support by developing strong relationships and industry knowledge.
Communicate regularly with internal partners to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
Take ownership of tasks, collaborate with CS team members, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Support SC team processes and tasks, including prospect activity, reporting, system updates, questionnaires, proposals, broker updates, and plan documents (including Health Navigator cases).
Manage turn‑around time expectations, communicate delays in a timely manner with clients.
Contribute to the development of SC team processes and suggest improvements using CI tools.
Update documentation and processes for tasks completed within the SC team.
Mentor new hires within the role.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum one year of client/customer support experience, preferably in an account services capacity.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong relationship‑building skills.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain professionalism and responsiveness.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, transaction‑oriented environment.
Flexibility and adaptability during peak periods.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.
Knowledge of insurance industry, distribution, and customer service preferred.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
Experience using multiple tools simultaneously.
Salary & Benefits Salary Range: $55,700 – $75,200. Position eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on individual and business performance. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement plans, generous vacation and sick time, paid family leave, adoption leave, and a partially paid sabbatical program.
