About
Perform deployment, installation, training, and support of new Windows based computer systems; assist with the design of, installation and support of computer systems and peripherals.
Coordinate with Warehouse Manager for inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipping needs; travel to install sites and perform deployment activities to include, site surveys, install hardware, install software, remove hardware, check hardware for shipment etc.
Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements; design and optimize network topologies.
Analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions; prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages; develop hardware installation schedules.
Prepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each site; prepare site installation and test reports.
Configure computers, communications devices, and peripheral equipment; train site personnel in proper use of hardware; build specialized interconnecting cables.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in Information Technology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making. Experience in Customer Service. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications. Must be able to travel at least 25%, domestic and internationally. Preferred Qualifications: One or more technical certifications (Comp TIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, MS Endpoint Administrator, etc.) highly preferred. Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position and maintain a Secret clearance thereafter. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time. Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer. Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer. Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc. Must be able to deliver presentations as needed. Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc.
