Conduct thorough evaluations of patients ranging from children to elderly individuals utilizing standardized assessments and direct observation. Create tailored treatment strategies that meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing skills in communication, language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing mechanisms. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of occupational and physical therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure holistic care. Provide comprehensive education for patients and families, guiding them on progress and strategies during their treatment journey. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to promote seamless continuity of care. Document patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously, adhering to all state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Remain abreast of the latest research and advancements through ongoing education to elevate your practice. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to achieve ASHA certification. Certifications
Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Tennessee. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred but not mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of joining. Skills
