Description: Supervisor for a sterile processing department. Responsible for supervising all employees on an assigned shift. Perform duties associated with cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation. Oversee storage and transport of specific instrumentation, surgical sets, and patient care equipment. Incorporate safety and customer service expectations. May provide case-picking education and training. Arrange for the transportation of borrowed instruments and equipment across multiple entities. Ensure collaborative communication for all parties involved in the process. Coordinate attendance at educational programs and facilitate staff learning. Ensure consistent and timely use of measurement tools to monitor and report quality and productivity within the department. Regularly report on the department's performance.
