Radiology/Imaging - Interventional Radiology Tech Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assignment for a 13-week contract working 3x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This role includes on-call responsibilities and focuses on supporting minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in a hospital setting. The technologist will collaborate closely with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality procedural outcomes. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced procedural environment. Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology or relevant imaging experience Active Ohio license required (or compact license if applicable) BLS certification required Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in specialty prior to travel Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique Ability to work in a high-acuity procedural setting One supervisory reference required at submission All certifications must be active and in hand at submission Complete and accurate work history required (all gaps must be explained)
Setting: Hospital City: Akron State: OH Unit Details: Procedures The IR Technologist will assist physicians during image-guided procedures, including preparing sterile fields, positioning patients, and operating imaging equipment. Responsibilities include monitoring patient condition during procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a sterile environment. The technologist will support equipment setup, assist with inventory management, and ensure proper documentation of all procedures. Additional duties include participating in on-call coverage, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining compliance with facility policies, radiation safety, and infection control standards.
