Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you help patients under a nurse or manager's supervision. Your duties support patient care and well-being. Essential Functions of the Role:
Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the safety and comfort of patients. This includes aiding with mobility and transfers. You will assist in enforcing patient cleanliness and help with their personal hygiene under set procedures. Part of your role will include aiding with proper dietary intake for patients, documenting consumed meals, and tracking calorie consumption. You are expected to respond promptly to patient call lights and maintain safety measures at all times. You'll be in charge of administering treatments and recording crucial signs of patients, within the scope of your role. Your duties involve maintaining unit equipment, keeping bedside stations tidy, monitoring supplies, and assisting with paperwork on the unit.
Key Success Factors:
Completion of a training program specific to nursing assistance which is accompanied by a skills checklist. Familiarity with medical terminologies. A commendable approach towards patients, characterized by friendliness, reassurance and an approachable demeanor. Capability to accurately follow directions from medical professionals, and a well-founded understanding of patient charts and records. Outstanding attention to detail.
