Basic Job Functions: The Inside Sales Representative coordinates with the outside Sales Force, Production, Quality, Shipping, and Mill Management to provide customer service that exceeds our customer expectations. This includes processing customer orders, dispatching shipments, managing available inventory, maintaining pricing, approve billing and provide customer support as needed. Working to accomplish the overall goals and directives established by the Sales Manager and Management team is essential. We take care of our customers by creating focus on safety, quality, cost, service and productivity. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Compensation Data: Wage Range: $25.05 - $31.97 per hour Return on Asset Eligible: Up to 33% of annual eligible earnings Profit Share 5-year Average: 20.17% A full benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurances; Life Insurance, Paid Vacation and Holidays; 401k and Stock Purchase Plan with Employer Match, College Tuition Reimbursement and College Tuition Scholarship program for dependents of teammates. Minimum Requirements: 1-year Customer Service experience Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Two years of reinforcing steel sales, detailing, fabrication, placing or related steel industry experience. Preferences: Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or two years of experience in a sales-related field including experience with customer service, resolving customer concerns and overall customer satisfaction Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Experience working in Oracle based EPM Rebar or construction industry experience a plus. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience interfacing with customers and providing customer service. Intermediate computer skills required in Microsoft products. Special Demands:
Extended hours may be required during peak production. Work is frequently performed beyond the normal weekday schedule.
Walking, sitting, standing, bending.
Using hands to operate objects, tools, computers, and other electronic equipment.
