Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for individuals spanning pediatric and adult populations, utilizing standardized testing measures and observational assessments. Create individualized treatment plans tailored to align with both immediate and long-term communication goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on enhancing language, articulation, fluency, voice control, and swallowing capability. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and family members, to ensure an integrative treatment approach. Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress and understanding beyond clinical sessions. Occasionally handle inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring that each patient's care pathway is consistent and supportive. Maintain precise and timely records in accordance with industry standards and organization procedures. Engage in continuing education to stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology practices. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified. Licensure and Certifications
A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Desired Skills
Expertise in evidence-based practices pertinent to various age groups, along with a solid foundation in developmental and acquired disorders. Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and a diverse healthcare team. Skilled in adapting treatment strategies to respect cultural and linguistic variations.
