Physician Practice CNA or CCMA Harrison, AR 72601 Overview Position Type Full Time Job Shift Varies Description We are seeking a dedicated clinical support team member for our physician clinics. This position may be filled as either a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA), depending on qualifications and experience. In this role, you'll support providers and nursing staff through direct patient care, clinical procedures, and essential front-office functions that keep patient care flowing efficiently. Job Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) in our Physician Clinics provides both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient, high-quality outpatient care. This role works closely with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to support patient care delivery, clinical procedures, and clinic workflow. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support & Patient Care
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during examinations and minor procedures Obtain and document vital signs and patient histories Perform point-of-care testing, simple lab work, and EKGs Assist with injections, immunizations, wound care, and dressing changes per provider orders Remove sutures/staples and assist with minor procedures Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and exam rooms per infection control standards Maintain adequate clinical supplies and restock as needed
Administrative & Front Office Support
Perform patient intake, registration, and rooming processes Schedule appointments and assist with check-in/check-out functions Support billing-related tasks including co-pay collection and basic insurance verification Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions
Job Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED CNA certification or Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA/MA certification) - We can support educational assistance for CNA and CCMA if applicant has healthcare background such as Personal Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or home aide. Current BLS certification from American Heart Association Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer proficiency
Preferred:
1+ year clinic experience Phlebotomy or EKG experience Medical terminology familiarity
Compensation & Schedule Competitive hourly pay based on experience Full-time weekday clinic schedule
