As our Medical Support Assistant (MSA), you will serve as a vital first point of contact, ensuring seamless patient flow and administrative efficiency within our healthcare setting. You will uphold exceptional service standards by managing patient interactions and supporting operational needs. Every day you will expertly manage patient scheduling, registration, and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. You will handle communications, coordinate referrals, process billing, and maintain a welcoming and organized environment, directly contributing to a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong organizational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in medical administrative procedures and relevant software. You will demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all patient interactions, contributing actively to a supportive team environment.
Assists with general patient care following established clinic workflows. Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by completing intake duties such as documenting the patient's reason for visit, obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing documented drug allergies, asking if patient taking medications listed in EMR, and completing appropriate screening questionnaires. Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis. Cleans and sterilizes instruments. Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly. Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
Job Requirements
Required
Successful completion of State Health Department approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training program, upon hire Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
