4. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the resident's room. 5. Dispense oral, inhalation and topical medications to residents.
6. Observe residents for drug reactions and report any problems to the DoN.
7. Record what medications were given for the day and the dosage in the nurse's medication administration record (MAR) chart. 8. Assist residents with activities of daily living as need. 9. Assist with activities as needed. 10. Charting nurse notes for concerns and/or behaviors. 11. Follow through with Physician orders and communicate new orders with DoN. 12. Document assistance with Activity of Daily Living. Requirements 1. Must be high school graduate or at least 18 years of age. 2. Complete course for certified level 1 med aide (CMA) if required. CMA must be certified in the state where they are employed. 3. Possess good communication skills in order to communicate effectively with residents, families and co-workers. 4. Maintain knowledge of basic care for residents. 5. Ability to maintain HIPPA compliance. 6. Must be accurate in observation, performance and reporting regarding residents. 7. Must be able to work under direct supervision of licensed nurse. Physical and Sensory Requirements: 1. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. 2. Must assist residents in a time of emergency, must be able to move quickly from one part of the building to another.
3. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time. 4. Must be able to stand for 12 or more hours per day while working.
5. Must be able to demonstrate appropriate body mechanics.
