Attention to Detail: Accurate injury tracking and thorough documentation are crucial. Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication under pressure with patients, medical staff, and families is necessary. The ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask independently is expected. Responsibilities
Provide onsite care and management of injuries and illnesses, including prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. Assess injury risk, conduct ergonomic evaluations, and promote self-care and overall wellness. Maintain electronic documentation of all patient interactions. Develop and implement injury prevention programs tailored to individual needs. Educate athletes to minimize injury risk through awareness and prevention strategies. Recommend accommodations related to sports participation for athletes with restrictions. Communicate injury status and care plans with physicians and coaching staff. Deliver medical care following sports medicine protocols. Perform administrative duties as assigned.
Experience Previous experience as a collegiate Athletic Trainer is preferred. Education and Certifications A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Candidates must be Board of Certification (BOC) certified and hold or be in the process of obtaining state licensure for Athletic Trainers. Work Schedule Full-time, first shift, 40 hours per week. This position is located in a regional area within the Midwest United States.
