Conducting thorough patient evaluations, prescribing relevant diagnostic tests, and developing customized treatment plans Diagnosing and addressing acute, short-term, or chronic conditions, whether in partnership with doctors or independently (per your qualifications) Providing valuable guidance to patients and families regarding prevention, health, and illness management strategies Prescribing treatments and medications aligned with your practice scope Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to promote comprehensive care Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner educational program Necessary Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Michigan National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a relevant specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Key Qualities and Skills
