Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages using standardized tools and direct observation. Create individualized treatment plans that aim for specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives. Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions focused on various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing dynamics. Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to construct integrated care plans. Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinic. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the recovery process. Document all clinical activities consistently and accurately to meet legal and organizational standards. Pursue ongoing professional development through continuous education and peer networking. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA accredited. Certifications
Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in California. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandated within the first 30 days of employment. Skills
