Key Responsibilities
Lead complex network and telecom architecture initiatives Troubleshoot advanced network issues and perform root cause analysis Implement and manage network access control and security policies Configure and manage firewalls, including application-layer controls Design and implement network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies Deploy and maintain secure wireless infrastructure Manage external connectivity including VPNs and vendor integrations Support load balancers and WAF tools to ensure secure and highly available systems Develop monitoring and alerting solutions to manage network performance Perform scheduled maintenance including backups and patching Track and report network performance and availability metrics Maintain detailed network documentation and share knowledge across the team Lead network-related projects from planning through execution Improve internal processes, standards, and procedures Partner with security teams to implement security controls and ensure regulatory compliance (including NIST 800-53 and HIPAA) Support cloud migration initiatives Maintain service levels and analyze trends for capacity planning Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and vendor solutions Provide infrastructure support and contribute to special projects Stay current with emerging technologies and complete ongoing training
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a 24x7 production environment Strong experience with network engineering across WAN/LAN and cloud environments Hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto preferred), including VPNs and threat prevention Experience with AWS cloud networking and infrastructure Proficiency with Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools Experience with routing, switching, and network protocols Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, PCNSA, or PCNSE
Must be authorized to work in the U.S without employer sponsorship now or in the future
