Assisting during surgical operations by preparing and organizing all necessary tools and environments Upholding sterile procedures and rigorously following infection control standards Passing instruments and consumables to surgeons and surgical assistants throughout the operation Preparing and overseeing surgical apparatus before, during, and following each procedure Overseeing inventory and ensuring readiness for upcoming surgeries Working hand-in-hand with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for cohesive patient care Maintaining precise surgical counts and comprehensive documentation Qualifications to Consider:
A completed Surgical Technology program from an accredited institution High school diploma or equivalent credential required Licensing and Certifications Required:
Holding a current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification is essential BLS certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment) Key Traits and Skills:
