About
Accurately record and maintain dietary preferences, allergies, restrictions, and special requests of patients. Enter and update patient meal orders in electronic systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to prescribed diets. Communicate effectively with dietitians and kitchen staff to ensure patients receive appropriate meals based on their dietary needs and state regulations.
Visits Members during meal service to assess Member satisfaction. Work closely with dietitians to ensure patients' dietary plans align with medical recommendations and kitchen staff to ensure food options are available and ordered options are included in production counts. Assist in the preparation and distribution of weekly menus in adherence to dietary guidelines. Update and revise menus to accommodate changes in patient needs, seasonality, and or special events. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient dietary information, including meal orders, modifications, and preferences. Generate reports and summaries for medical and administrative purposes, as required. Additional clerical/ customer service support including meeting members for food preferences, to obtain birthday orders, ext. Performs other duties as assigned by Clinical Nutrition Manager. Expectations of the Position:
Dependable, report to work on-time for every schedule shift (ready to work at beginning - start of shift) and work full schedule shifts unless physically unable or pre-approved Paid Time Off (PTO) which includes personal and vacation. Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required by the position and/or approved by management. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be clean and neat in appearance and have a "friendly," hospitality-oriented, and service-oriented personality. Abide by work-related / job procedures and organization policies; (refer to the Employee Handbook). Qualifications of the Position:
Education: Previous knowledge or education in food and nutrition is preferred. Skills:
Knowledge of dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and common medical diets (e.g., diabetic, renal, cardiac). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients and healthcare professionals. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities. Familiarity proficiency in computers including Word, Excel, ext. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities. Compassion, patience, and a customer-service-oriented mindset.

Pay Range: $17.50 - $21.50 per hour
