Senior System Engineer

In this position, you will take responsibility for ensuring a secure and stable global IT infrastructure at Rieter. You will design, implement, and operate core services such as servers, storage, and identity and access management (Active Directory, Azure Entra ID). Additionally, you will ensure compliance with security standards, automate processes using scripts, and provide second- and third-level support. Your expertise in Windows and cloud security, PKI, and virtualization, combined with strong communication skills in an international environment, will make you a key player in our global IT team.
Senior System Engineer
Your Mission
Designing, Building and operation of IT Infrastructure and Services (Server, Storage, Infrastructure Security)
Development and operation of identity and access management solutions (AD, Entra ID)
Implementation and management of certificates (PKI)
Lead and contribute to global IT infrastructure projects
Third and Second Level support for IT Server Infrastructure and services
Ensuring that infrastructure services are compliant with established configuration and security guidelines
Build, enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive tasks
System design improvements and performance enhancements
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or HF in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field or a technical training program
At least seven to -ten years professional IT experience
Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in Windows operating systems and virtualization technologies (VMware), combined with strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and PKI Services.
Extensive experience in identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, and Privileged Access Management (PAM), with strong proficiency in Azure Entra ID and Conditional Access Policies
Proven experience in project management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Very good oral and written English skills, good German is a plus
Strong communication skills in an international environment
