Patient Transporter Join Fairview as a Patient Transporter at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (East Bank) and play a vital role in patient care. In this hands-on, team-focused position, you'll safely transport patients throughout the hospital, ensuring comfort, efficiency, and a positive experience at every step. You'll collaborate closely with medical staff, use technology to track transport activity, and deliver outstanding customer service to patients and families. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working in a fast-paced environment, and making a meaningful difference every day. Hours: FTE: 0.6 7-3:30 E/O Weekend 7-3:30 Set schedule to be discussed on interview. Responsibilities
Responsible for safe physical transfer and transport of patients throughout the University Campus. Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness to assure prompt patient delivery. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness. Ensure patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks. Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and all members of the medical team. Utilize provided technology to accurately record Transport data. Continuously works to improve interpersonal skills and relationships. Communicates continuously with team members, medical staff and dispatch.
Required Qualifications
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications
1 year Customer Service or Patient Care experience
