Job Title: Project Safety Representative (Electrical & Infrastructure) Role Overview We are seeking a proactive Project Safety Representative to join our team in cultivating a world-class safety environment. In this role, you will be the boots-on-the-ground technical authority, ensuring that our projects not only meet federal, state, and local safety regulations but exceed them. You will work side-by-side with Project Leadership, General Foremen, and field crews to develop safety roadmaps, manage incident investigations, and foster a culture where safety is a core operational value. This is a hands-on role. You will spend significant time on active construction sites, coaching personnel, identifying hazards, and providing the technical support required to keep our crews, the public, and the environment safe. Key Responsibilities Safety Governance & Compliance • Regulatory Oversight: Ensure full compliance with federal (OSHA), state, and local safety standards, as well as specific industry consensus standards related to electrical high-voltage work. • Project Safety Roadmap: Assist Project Leadership in developing and maintaining a living Project Safety Roadmap, tracking goals, audits, and performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle. • Incident Management: Facilitate the end-to-end investigation process for any safety incidents. Own the documentation and management of injury/illness cases and lead the corrective action implementation. Field Engagement & Technical Support • Field Coaching: Build high-trust relationships with field personnel. Engage with General Foremen and crews to discuss hazards, conduct safety briefings, and ensure compliance is "in the field" rather than just "on paper." • Hazard Mitigation: Conduct regular job-site audits to identify unsafe behaviors or conditions. Provide technical solutions and coaching to resolve issues in real-time. • Reporting: Maintain accurate logs, manage safety documentation, and provide regular reports to project stakeholders on safety performance and trending data. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications • Experience Baseline: Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in construction safety. Experience within the electrical, high-voltage, or utility construction industry is highly preferred. • Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required). A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred. • Technical Certifications: oOSHA 30 (Construction) is strictly required. oBCSP Certification (e.g., CHST, STS, or CSP) is required for project assignment. oCPR/First Aid Certification (Trainer status is a significant advantage). • Licensure: Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Physical & Environmental Demands • This role requires physical agility, including standing, walking, bending, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. • Work is conducted in varying environments, including office trailers and active construction sites. Candidates must be comfortable working around heights, in confined spaces, and in changing weather conditions.
