Performing thorough patient assessments, requesting diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or long-term illnesses, collaborating with physicians or exercising independent practice where applicable Educating families and patients regarding wellness, preventive care, and management of diseases Prescribing medications and therapies consistent with your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care initiatives Working in unison with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, seamless care Accurately and thoroughly documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Credentials
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a related specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to obtain them within 90 days) Key Traits for Success
