About
Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methodologies. Create tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care plans. Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical environment. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
Maintain precise and punctual documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay abreast of developments in the field through continuous education and professional collaboration. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet acquired. Certifications
Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills
Strong command of evidence-based treatment practices suitable for all ages, coupled with a comprehensive knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
