Description
Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments alongside observational methods. Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Partner with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies. Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster progress outside the therapy sessions. Participate in sporadic inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the patient's treatment path. Keep precise and timely documentation according to the standards of state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills
