Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations and the gathering of comprehensive medical histories Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through the interpretation of imaging studies and lab results Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans Provide essential intraoperative assistance, including setting up operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and skillfully handling surgical instruments Administer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which encompasses medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education Education and Credentials
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Preferably completed clinical rotations with a focus on surgical care Requirements and Qualifications
Current and unrestricted PA-C certification Current BLS and ACLS certifications required State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant Preferred Skills
